About Keybloom
Keybloom is a colorful online percussion instrument you play right in your browser.
Four instruments
Choose a xylophone (bright and wooden), a marimba (warm and mellow), a glockenspiel (clear, ringing metal) or a piano (soft and resonant). All sounds are generated locally in your browser, with no recordings to download.
Play with keyboard or mouse
Click or tap any bar, or press the computer key shown on it. Enable “Sharps and flats” to reveal the extra notes and their keyboard shortcuts.
Ranges and sharps
For percussion, pick 1, 1½ or 2 octaves from C4 and turn on “Sharps and flats” for the extra notes. Piano includes black keys, 1 to 4 octaves and a starting-octave choice. Its colored key edges, from red Do to purple Si, can be switched off.
Chords and sheet music
Play several notes close together and Keybloom names the chord, such as C major or D minor. Open the sheet music to see what you play written on a treble staff, with chords stacked together.
